Getting Flickr to work in Textpattern

I downloaded the vdh_flickr plugin – I followed directions in the help – and made a section called gallery. It is unlinked, so to view it you need to go to http://www.lmap.org.au/gallery. But the message I get is – Failed to connect to flickr.com! Might be some evil config thing somewhere.

I have downloaded Joomla Standalone Server on XP laptop. It creates a WAMP server on a virtual drive whenever you start it up. I want to do the same thing on my Macbook Pro but I can’t find a Joomla standalone MAMP server that installs so easily. Might need to get XP and dual boot [...]

I managed to find the Official Joomla user Manual and just happened to print it off. Twice. I’m on a steep learning curve here…. should I learn Textpattern and then potentially Joomla, or should we just pull the plug and go for the deep end??

So I made an article called “Easter Service Times” and I thought the best place for it would be under What’s on in the right hand column… right? What’s on… Easter Service times… makes sense. How do I do that? I have absolutely no idea about most things and especially this.
